The Birds of T.O.S. Sabine Woods

June 1996

This preliminary Bird List (below) for Sabine Woods has been compiled for TOS by the Golden Triangle Audubon Society. In addition to numerous "flyover" species, this includes species seen in the immediately surrounding marsh and across the road in Texas Point NWR areas immediately adjacent to the Woods. The "northwest pond" within the Sabine Woods property has produced a surprising variety of shorebirds and ducks in it own right!. Species marked ** are presumptive species, for which no actual verbally transmitted or written records are known, but which are virtually certain to have been present. Additions welcome!
