Ash-throated Flycatcher is a regular but rare winter visitor to the UTC. a Myiarchus Flycatcher in the winter is likley to be an Ash-throated Flycatcher.

Separate Ash-throated Flycatcher from the Great-crested Flycatcher by its almost white throat (Great-crested has a gray throat), paler yellow on the belly, and has much less contrast. The call is distrinctive (a rough prrrt).

Look for Ash-throated Flycatcher along the coast in the winter in places like Brazoria NWR, San Bernard NWR, High Island, Anahuac NWR, and Sabine Woods
